Opportunity (Part-Time): Unmanned Systems (UxS) Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking an Unmanned Systems (UxS) Integration SME with experience in capability-based planning and unmanned systems policy development. The SME will support U.S. government institutional capacity building project to help develop a structured analysis of UxS capability areas, joint fires integration, and precision strike enablement in operational employment across air and maritime unmanned platforms in a partner nation.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) with OCONUS travel for forward engagements

Objective: Assist a U.S. government institutional capacity building project in assessment, planning, development, and refinement of UxS capability areas of a partner nation, by outlining task, conditions, standards, sustainment considerations, and long-term requirements to strengthen UxS integration and future operational planning.

Location: Remote support (CONUS) with OCONUS travel for forward engagements
Level of Effort:
- Non-travel months: Approximately 20–30 hours per month.
- Travel months: Approximately 80–100 hours during travel months required for OCONUS engagements (first templated in April 2026).
- Post-engagement support: Support as needed.

Objective: Assist a U.S. government institutional capacity building project in assessment, planning, development, and refinement of UxS capability areas of a partner nation, by outlining task, conditions, standards, sustainment considerations, and long-term requirements to strengthen UxS integration and future operational planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Counter-UxS systems and real-world policy developing UxS policy input at the national and/or component level that identifies department, agency and military service roles and responsibilities; outlining relevant legal and regulatory statutes; describing airspace management and spectrum deconfliction procedures; delineating operations in a contested electromagnetic environment; and examining collaboration with civil industry and authorities.
- Experience in advisory support to partner nation, developing UxS doctrine and national level policy; and implement UxS programs.
- Experience in conducting tabletop exercises to simulate real-world scenarios to test/refine the effectiveness of the UxS framework as part of a broader operational approach.
- Experience integrating conventional and special operations capabilities to enhance overall campaign effectiveness.
- Experience development of aviation and/or maritime operating concepts and follow-on plans to ensure successful execution of Operational Plans and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
- Experience in lifecycle management, sustainment, and asset visibility of UxS.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, coupled with specialized knowledge in areas like aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or robotics.
- Relevant certifications, such as remote pilot certificate, are required.
- Practical experience with real-world UxS operations in contingency environments.
- Experience and knowledge of Counter-UxS systems and real-world policy, doctrine, and lessons learned capture and dissemination.
