Opportunity: Social Media Manager
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking Social Media Manager to support contracted services for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Public Affairs Directorate (CCPA). This contract will include executing communication strategies and ensuring accurate, timely information to U.S. and regional audiences. It will employ digital tools to monitor, collect, translate, and analyze traditional and social media across CENTCOM’s 21-nation area of responsibility, supporting senior leader decision-making, correcting misinformation, and aiding counter-propaganda efforts. Services will include strategic communication planning, media engagement, crisis response, training, and quality assurance. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, creation, and management of CCPA's English and foreign language social media platforms. This role includes leading the creative design, ensuring technical upkeep, and developing the content strategy across these platforms.
Location: The primary place of performance is at HQ CENTCOM, MacDill AFB. Other anticipated work may include TBD locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) or at locations within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility. Continuity of Operations: As specified by the Command’s COOP instruction and as determined by the CCPA Director, be prepared to deploy toalternate site COOP locations to support the headquarters response to an imminent threat or in response to an emergency (e.g., natural disasters).
Level of Effort: Full-time
Availability: Anticipate Spring-Summer 2026 start date. Personnel will be expected to be present from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Situations may require extended hours of operations, to include military exercises, contingency operations, or weather emergencies.

- Platform Management:
- Oversee and manage the planning and execution of CCPA’s English and foreign language social media platforms, ensuring all activities align with strategic communication goals.
- Supervise Regional Media Analysts in the creation and coordination of region-specific social media plans, ensuring the content resonates with diverse audiences.
- Content and Crisis Communication:
- Develop, synchronize, and publish frequent social media posts, with a focus on maintaining consistent messaging, particularly during crisis events or when directed by senior CENTCOM leadership.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure the timely dissemination of critical messages during high-impact events or periods of heightened operational tempo.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Analyze performance data from social media platforms, focusing on metrics like viewership, followership, and region-specific trends, to inform and refine future communication strategies.
- Prepare monthly reports that include detailed insights, best practices, and recommendations based on CENTCOM-related digital media usage.
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance and provide actionable insights to CCPA leadership.
- Security Compliance:
- Ensure security compliance across CCPA’s social media platforms, aligning with CENTCOM and DOD security policies to safeguard digital communication.
- Regularly review platform access protocols, account security, and best practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance with established security requirements.
- Digital Communication Strategy Creation: The Social Media Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy that aligns with USCENTCOM’s strategic objectives, ensuring effective engagement across English and foreign language social media platforms. This strategy will establish a structured approach to content planning, platform selection, audience targeting, and engagement optimization. It will define the rationale for contentchoices, including what to post, why it matters, when to publish, and where to distribute content for maximum impact. The plan will account for historical engagement data, regional sensitivities, and strategic communication priorities while maintaining synchronization with broader CENTCOM messaging efforts. The strategy will include a detailed posting framework tailored to each platform, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with command priorities. It will set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals for each social media account, focusing on keymetrics such as engagement rates, reach, and sentiment analysis. The Social Media Manager will coordinate with Regional Media Analysts (RMAs) and the Assessments team to ensure alignment with ongoing communication efforts, avoid information redundancy, and enhance the overall effectiveness of CENTCOM’s digital presence. Additionally, thestrategy will establish a structured workflow for social media operations, incorporating best practices in content scheduling, approvals, and execution. It will include a data-driven approach to measuring success, utilizing analytics tools to track performance, identify trends, and refine future strategies. To maintain security and compliance, the Social Media Manager will ensure all digital communication efforts adhere to CENTCOM and DoD policies, regularly reviewing platform securityprotocols and access controls. The finalized strategy will be continuously assessed and adjusted based on emerging trends, real-time engagement insights, and evolving operational requirements.

- Social Media Updates: Provide regular updates to CCPA’s English and foreign language social media platforms, ensuring consistency with key messages and strategic goals.
- Tracking & Engagement:
- Track and monitor social media aliases of key individuals and organizations within the CENTCOM-related environment.
- Maintain an updated database of these entities.
- Provide engagement recommendations based on real-time tracking, ensuring alignment with communication objectives and regional sensitivities.
- Monthly Report: Provide monthly reports that offer insights into social media performance, including platform prioritization, engagement effectiveness, and recommendations for improvement.
- Publication Plan: Develop and maintain a monthly digital media publication plan, specifying the platforms and languages for content, incorporating input from the Regional Media Analysts to ensure culturally informed and region-specific messaging.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Security Requirements: Must have a minimum SECRET clearance prior to Contract award.
- At least 3 years of experience in a related social media management role, with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Content Creation: Proven ability to create engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring that posts are dynamic, informative, and align with CENTCOM’s communication objectives.
- SEO Knowledge: A strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and the ability to apply these principles to enhance the visibility of content across digital platforms.
- Analytics Skills: Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media dashboards) to track social media performance, generate reports, and make data-
