Opportunity (Part-Time): Aviation Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) - building capacity on a USG contract, supporting a partner nation.

Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking an Aviation Logistics SME to support a U.S. Government building partner capacity effort focused on aviation logistics modernization, maintenance operations, supply chain management, and fleet sustainment. 

Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) in selected partner nation as part of a U.S. Government advising effort.

Level of Effort:
  • Non-travel months: Approximately 30–50 hours/month.
  • Travel months: Approximately 80–90 hours/month.
  • Initial travel anticipated July 2026. 

Availability: Immediate

Objective: Support aviation logistics and maintenance modernization efforts focused on supply chain management, fleet sustainment, readiness reporting, and maintenance operations. 

Required Qualifications:
  • Retired senior military officer (O-5/O-6) with demonstrated aviation logistics leadership experience.
  • 20+ years of experience in aviation logistics.
  • Experience with supply chain management, distribution management, and obsolescence management.
  • Experience with life cycle management, readiness reporting, and resource management programs.
  • Experience supporting maintenance operations and fleet management programs.
  • Experience with logistics planning and doctrine development.
  • Extensive experience coordinating with allies and partners.
  • Data analytics experience.
  • Experience supporting logistics efforts at USAF Air Combat Command.
  • Experience supporting multinational or coalition operations.
  • Active US Secret Security clearance.
