Opportunity (Part-Time): Fighter Pilot - Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Retired Senior Officer to Assist in Building Institutional Capacity in Partner Nation
Bottom Line Up Front:
Hoplite Group is seeking a Fighter Pilot SME to support a US Government Institutional Capacity Initiative focused on structured analysis of operational, training, and sustainment requirements for fixed wing air combat platforms in a partner nation. The SME will assess mission performance, readiness, and integration of capability-based planning across multiple aviation mission sets.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) as part of a U.S. Government team.
Level of Effort:
• Non-travel months: Approximately 30-40 hours/month.
• Travel engagements: Approximately 80 hours/month during travel engagement months OCONUS. First travel scheduled for January 2026.
• Post-Engagement: Remote support as needed.
Availability: Immediate
Objective: To conduct a comprehensive review and evaluation of prior capability-based assessments, mission essential tasks (METs), and associated concepts of operation (CONOPS) in order to identify key operational trends, capability gaps, and potential courses of action for future planning.
SME Qualifications:
• Retired O-6 F-16/F35 Pilot with Command experience the Squadron, Group, or Wing level.
• Experience with U.S Air Force/U.S. Navy policy, planning and strategy development in support of combat aircraft operations. to include unit readiness determination, operational analysis, and strategy/doctrine/CONOPS development and assessment of risk.
• Graduate of U.S. Air Force School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), or United States Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW).
• Experience with executing security cooperation/security assistance programs in the CENTCOM AOR.
• Ability to interface with U.S. Government and Partner Nation stakeholders and represent ISG’s interests in high-level engagements utilizing in-person and virtual facilitation techniques and tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, including experience in drafting strategic reports and briefs for senior leadership.
• U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.
